A forum, Kogi Youth League, has endorsed the aspiration of Banjo Amoto Moses to succeed Captain Idris Wada as Governor of Kogi State in the forthcoming election.

The forum made this know to newsmen in a statement signed by its leader, Atawodi Godson.

In the statement, the youth forum carpeted the endorsement of incumbent governor Wada by a section of elders in the PDP. They alleged that the elders are a crop of leaders who have failed to live up to expectations in the past.

“We thought we could gain from their supposed vast wealth of experience to make the best out of their office and provide succor for the common man, instead they have become blinded by greed and selfishness, the statement reads further.

“As a body and forum of well meaning youths cutting across the 21 local government areas of Kogi state, KOGI YOUTH LEAGUE (for more meaningful democracy) has considered and scrutinized all issues that clouds who is taking charge of the Lugard house next. It is therefore pertinent to bring to the entire Kogi public that, a young, vibrant, well meaning and youthful candidate of like mind burning with ideas and enthusiasm to develop and move the State forward to the next phase of development. An Aspirant who is accessible to the people He is meant to serve, one who has a vision and foresight. We have adopted and thrown our weight behind BANJO AMOTO MOSES under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

According to the forum, the decision to back Banjo Amoto was reached in Lokoja on Wednesday after a general congress of the organization.
