The Kogi Equity Alliance has endorsed the recent message issued by the Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, describing his appeal for restraint, discipline, and strategic focus as a demonstration of mature and responsible leadership.
In a statement released on Thursday, the group said it received the Senator’s remarks “with deep respect and sober reflection,” stressing that his message should not be dismissed as routine political commentary.
The statement was signed by Adams Yusuf of the Kogi Equity Alliance on Thursday.

According to the Alliance, Senator Sunday Karimi, who represents Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, urged his supporters to channel their energy toward promoting his record and achievements rather than engaging in political provocation or emotional exchanges.
“He has not asked us to stop fighting for him,” the statement noted. “He has asked us to fight smarter, with his record and not our rage; with his projects and not our provocations.”
The group highlighted several constituency interventions credited to the Senator over the past three years, including the installation of 150 solar powered boreholes across Kogi West, bursary support for students, and empowerment programmes targeted at women cooperatives, traders, and grassroots communities.
“These are not talking points. These are lives changed. These are communities transformed,” the statement added.
The Alliance also referenced Senator Karimi’s recent meeting with Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, describing it as evidence of the Senator’s continued engagement with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
“We interpret this plainly: Senator Karimi remains engaged, connected, and committed to the unity of the APC in Kogi State,” the statement said.
The group further cautioned supporters against allowing political passion to degenerate into unnecessary confrontation, while accusing some individuals of weaponising intra party disagreements for personal agendas unrelated to the interests of Kogi West.
Reaffirming its support for the Senator, the Kogi Equity Alliance pledged to continue amplifying his record, strengthening the APC structure in Kogi West, and supporting the re election efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in future elections.
“We stand with our Senator. We stand with the APC. We stand for Kogi West,” the statement concluded.
