As the race for Kogi East Senatorial District gets tougher and closer, there is need for every well meaning citizen of Igala/Basa extraction to educate our people about making the right choice.
There is no doubting the fact that we have three major candidates: Mr. Idris HK, Joseph Erico and QS Aminu. But, we are not surprised that Mr. Idris HK is the only one many are rooting for and leading the race considering his positive impact in Kogi East.
Today, the rhetorical question in the mouth of our people is “who is Idris HK that has been bringing succour to our people?”
It is now an indisputable fact that there is no private individual dead or alive that has used his hard earned resources for the provision of useful infrastructures for the good people of Kogi East Senatorial District as Mr. Idris HK; his humanitarian activities for our people are unprecedented. There is no Local Government in Kogi East today without his footprint, providing: Portable
Bore Holes, Transformers, constructing roads, renovating Schools and so on. In fact, he has registered WAEC and bought JAMB Forms for so many, and even provided school fees for those in Higher Institutions.
Today, his biggest single project is the Ankpa Electrification Project worth about 400 million naira. That is one project I fear may be sabotaged by some who are not happy with his soaring reputation and acceptability in Kogi East.
My verdict: if an individual could do all the aforementioned for the people without holding any government position, it is expected that he will do more if given an opportunity to serve in government.
For Kogi East Senatorial District, Idris HK is our Project. To whom much is given, much is expected.
The era phantom promises are over in Kogi East for good, we shall be guided by your antecedents going forward.
