Senator Aidoko Ali has advised Kogi East senate seat contenders not to challenge the decision of God by patroning all the courts in the land to claim the seat.
Aidoko gave the counsel in a chat with newsmen today.
He said the clarification became necessary in view of the lingering pressure on the authorities and relevant bodies to hijack his God-secured victory.
“It is not possible to ascend to the seat of a senator of the Federal republic without adhering to the laid down procedures in line with INEC regulation and conducts. The two embattled senators have two different scenarios that can never see the light of the day; one never secured the PDP party’s ticket, but cooked primary election result and the other had election from same party and defected to APC having lost without due recourse to electoral act in securing the other party’s ticket.
“All these anomaly are enough to disqualify candidates of any party no matter how highly placed the individual is. It is a mere point of law that cannot be misapplied to favour any tom, dick and harry,” he said.
He expressed regrets that Kogi East has been placed in a disadvantage position with lingering litigation because of self-centredness and personal interest that will not stand the test of time.
