I wish to express my sincere appreciation to the Igala-Bassa people for their show of love and support through the ballot. The result announced is a testament of your love and support for me and the party APC.
Though the election was subsequently declared inconclusive due to cancellation of some polling units as announced by INEC, but the result announced put us (APC) at 113,772 votes with PDP and ADC tailing far behind us with 69,131 and 30,696 votes respectively.
I wish to use this medium to thank the people of Kogi East again for their support and urge our party members and the people of the affected areas to come out in their numbers to vote for our party APC whenever the date for the rerun is announced by INEC.
I appeal to our party members and indeed the general public to remain calm, law abiding and go about their normal business while anticipating our victory.
