Kogi East: Audu Political Family Endorse Victor Adoji for Senate

Supporters of the former Governor of Kogi State, late Prince Abubakar Audu have been called upon to support the Kogi East senatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Victor Alewo Adoji.
Speaking on behalf of the Audu political family at the three years remembrance event in honour of the late former governor in Ogbonicha, Prince Muhammed Audu declared support of the group for Adoji.
Audu called on all members of the political family to canvass for votes and ensure Adoji emerge winner of the February 16, 2019 senatorial election.
He noted that the occasion is not for political campaigns but hinted that the political family will call for a more elaborate gathering in no distant time for political discussions.
Testifying at the 3 years anniversary of the political icon, Alh. Kashim Imam recalled how the late Prince Audu rated Adoji high with much optimism when he was alive.
“I was there one day when Audu called Adoji to come to his house and when he came, he sat on the chair opposite Prince Audu but Audu called saying he should come and seat by his side that very soon they will leave and Adoji will be one of the young and intelligent people to take over from them.
“I think this is the right time for the replacement and Adoji is here for you on ADC as a political party contesting for the Kogi East Senate seat,” he said.
Alh. Kashim Imam was one of the close allies and a confidant of the late Prince Abubakar Audu.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Victor Adoji recalled the life style of Audu and said: “Prince Abubakar Audu lived a responsible life that is worthy of emulation. That is why even after his death people continue to celebrate him. He admonished us to live a life that will be referenced for a responsible living so that when we are no more, people will still remember us for good.”
The anniversary was graced by high profile personalities from within and outside Igala land.
