Kogi East chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) recently convened a strategic meeting to prepare for the 2027 electoral battle, announcing key leadership appointments across the region’s federal constituencies.
Under the leadership of former Deputy Governor of the state, Hon. Simon Achuba, the party appointed Elder Ubolo Okpanachi as the leader for Idah/Ibaji/Igalamela/Ofu Federal Constituency; Hon. Kizito Makolo for Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency; and Hon. Simon Atadoga for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency.
The meeting was attended by prominent figures including Hon. Hassan Enape, Engr. Musa Wada, Hon. Moses Daku, Hon. Yunusa Ejegbo Esq., Hon. Ibrahim Yunusa Esq., Alhaji A.Y. Baba, Chief Peter Oguche, and other influential personalities.
Kogi East leader, Hon. Simon Achuba urged residents and political stakeholders to join the ADC, highlighting the failure of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to fulfill its campaign promises. He called on disillusioned APC members to migrate to the ADC, the leading opposition party poised to wrest power from the incumbent government.
He said reports from various local government areas of Kogi East revealed encouraging progress in ongoing membership registration, signaling growing grassroots support for the ADC.
Achuba further emphasized the primacy of party interests over individual ambitions, urging members to work collectively for the common good of the ADC.
Hon. Hassan Enape stressed the need for discipline within the party ranks, urging leaders and new members alike to uphold high standards that would serve as a model for future generations.
