In a democratic dispensation, a state or a zone is often divided into constituencies and districts, not only to make it easy for such government to administer such nation, but to ensure that the general interest of the people and persons living in such state are been upheld and preserved.

Thus, a representative in form a senator or a House of rep member is often provided through an electoral process with the soul aim of having the interest of the people well represented.

Ever since the creation of Kogi state, Kogi east has not only failed in producing an applaudable representation either in the red chambers or at the green chambers, but has successfully produce the worst form of representation any constituency or senatorial district has registered in this nation.

A form of representation that has little or no regards for the people, constantly neglecting the challenges of the district, remaining detached and separated from members of the constituency and above all, exploiting and amassing the supposed wealth of the people.

This and many more have categorised the nature and type of representation Kogi east has witness for decades.

For years Kogi east has suffered this torture, for decades we have suffered this levels of inappropriates and gradually we have become a people not only begging for a better representation, but a people doomed by our inability to get a good representation, either at the state level or the hallowed chambers of the National Assembly.

Like Ngodi Nbanyo noted, the political poverty of a people that has its blame on poor representation is the worst form of poverty, because even when the suffering is over the regret is still left behind.

To me Nbanyo was talking about Kogi east because our pain have stayed longer with us and our regrets have become a part of our day to day tribulations.

Our representatives have often turned the hallowed chambers into a place of relaxation, merriment and opportunity to steal away our district allowance, they have turned our green and red chambers into a place of sleeping and reading news papers and even at the state level, fear has drained them of all the essence of quality representation.

As a people we have not only become hopeless, but we have become doomed by the bizarre conditions of our condition.

Thus, we have become a constituency and a district begging for proper representation, we have become a people soliciting for a leader who sincerely has us in mind.

An individual who can gull the Ox and bring food home for us,some one who can stand at the chambers and speak for us with out any form of fear or prejudice.

An articulated and vocally strong individual, well schooled in the Alapaic philosophy, very knowledgeable and sound in human development.

An individual who is not only aware of the daily challenges of the people of Kogi east, but has all the needed integrity and wisdom to approach this issues and solve them once and for all.

We are in need of a comforter who will stand again and again to insist strongly on issues bothering on the people irrespective of who is involved or not, irrespective of who will be dared or not.

We are a people in need of an individual who will not get to a hallowed chambers and forget us, or gets intimidated and scared to oblivion by the levels of people paraded at the hollowed chambers.

Above all we have become a people in need of a Messiah.
