Kogi State Ministry of Education has directed heads of primary and secondary schools to resume on 23rd of February.
Recall that the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Kogi State Chapter, had announced an adjustment in this term academic calendar for schools both private and public schools to embark on an emergency mid term break as from 4th February 2026.
The resumption which was earlier scheduled for this week was postponed for another week.
In a statement signed by Mr. Matthew Eri Salami, Director Basic and Secondary Education, on Friday, schools were directed to resume on Monday next week.
“I am directed to inform you that schools are to resume on Monday 23rd of February, 2026 after the emergency mid-term break.
“Other information will be communicated later,” the statement read.
