Kogi: Cholera Outbreak Kills Two In Emiworo Community

Two people have been confirmed dead following a cholera outbreak in Emiworo Fulani community in Ajaokuta local government area of Kogi state.

More than thirty are presently admitted in the intensive care wards of liberty medical clinic in Eleite town

The doctor in charge Jerry Baba said unclean water and unhygienic food were the possible causes of the epidemic.

He urged people, especially those in the rural areas to treat water before drinking and cover their foods to avoid bacteria infections.

Jerry called on the government to come to the people’s aid by providing portable water in areas like Emiworo community.

Efforts made to get reaction of the government representative on health matters proved abortive.
