Hours to the State Assembly Election, the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District have been urged to once again make their voice heard by electing all the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC).

The charge was given in Lokoja by the district’s senator-elect, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni while playing host to stakeholders and political stalwarts of the five local government areas of the zone preparatory to the election.

Alhaji Yakubu Oseni who had toured all the 54 wards of the Senatorial District in the build up to the recently held Presidential/National Assembly Election reiterated that he would hit the ground running in implementing his vision as soon as the 9th Senate is constituted.

While appreciating his constituents for a show of love in their unanimous decision to elect him to represent them at the Red Chambers, the Senator-elect emphasised that for seamless governance to be feasible in the state, the All Progressives Congress need to have overwhelming majority in the State House of Assembly in order to complement the effort of Governor Yahaya Bello in changing the narratives of the state.

“The need for robust relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the government for overall development cannot be overemphasized. This can be achieved in the absence of divergent and distractive dispositions in the legislative assembly. God in His infinite mercy has rescued our state from the hand of the locust through Governor Yahaya Bello.

“I urged you all to shun violence and massively vote candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming election.

“Come Saturday insha’Allah, vote Hon. Usman Okadibo, Hon. Lawi A.T Ahmed, Hon. Dahiru Ahmed Amewuru, Hon. Salihu Muktar Bajeh, Hon. Abdullahi Bello Balogun and Hon. Moses Akande for Adavi, Okene l, Okene ll, Okehi, Ajaokuta and Ogori/Magongo State Constituency respectively”, he implored.
