Youths, women and elites under the aegis of “Kogi Central Project” in the central senatorial district of the state have declared their supports for the aspirant vying to represent the district at the Red Chamber in 2019, Engr Malik Okino.
The group declared its support on Saturday 2nd September, 2019 after its stakeholder meeting in Okehi.
While speaking with pressmen, the Team Leader of the group and a former Chairman of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria, Hon Abdulazeez Ochuvo Abdulsalam expressed satisfaction with the antecedents and profile of the aspirant, hence the need to throw weights behind him.
According to him, Okino possesses the dire qualities for true representation which the district has been yearning for.
“We are leadership orphans, and have been scouting for those who can give Kogi Central a true and better representation. Based on our critical assessment, Okino does not only have the credentials we want, but also the wherewithal to take Kogi Central to the height we have always sought for.
“He is widely traveled, innovative, God-fearing and full of developmental experiences that can transform the entire district. Even as a private businessman, his strides in his immediate society and the sociopolitical development of Ebira land are visible for attestations,” he said.
He urged the people of the district to support the aspiration, describing it as a cause with high regards for the interest of the people.
