Kogi Central Market Women Throws Weight Behind Gov Yahaya Bello’s Re-election

Kogi Central Market Women Association has declared total support for the governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

The chairperson of the association, Hajiya Khadiza Ogirima made this known to newsmen after a meetion of market women in Okene on Saturday.

Ogirima stated that all her members have pledged their support for Gov Yahaya Bello in a bid to sustain the growth and development that has been witnessed all over the state under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

She said the market women promised firm support for the re-election of Governor Yahaya Bello come November 2019 to sustain peace and good governance in the state. She lauded Bello for assisting traders to grow their businesses.

She explained that the association decided to unanimously support Gov Yahaya Bello because of the numerous achievements recorded by his administration in the areas of infrastructural development, youth employment and security.

The market women leader urged leaders and members of the association from all local government of Kogi central and State levels to mobilise support and ensure that they support all flag-bearers of APC in the next general elections.

She commended Bello’s sagacity in piloting the affairs of the state even in the face of huge condemnation and attacks from various quarters.

“It is expedient for us to commend and congratulate Governor Yahaya Bello on the success of his mission to transform Kogi State despite all the effort of opposition parties to ridicule his good works.

“Market Women Association remains a critical stakeholder in the development of the state, it is therefore incumbent on the Association to liaise and work with the Governor on critical issues bothering on state and economy among others that would further enhance the general well being of the people of the state,” she said.
