Kogi Central Local Government Secretaries Pay Sallah Homage to Ododo’s Chief of Staff in Agassa

The Association of Local Government Secretaries from Kogi central on Thursday paid a Sallah homage to the Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon. Ali Bello Atimpo at his Agassa residence in Okene.

The local government scribes reiterated their continue support for APC-led government in the state under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.

The team, comprised of the 5 Local Government Secretaries from Kogi Central senatorial district, was led by the zonal chairman of the association, who is also the Secretary of Ajaokuta local government, Hon. Abdulmalik Muktar.

Speaking at the Sallah visit, Hon. Abdulmalik Muktar described the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as being decisive in the areas of social cohesion, short and long economic emancipation, infrastructural development and youths empowerment among other areas of human capital development in the state.

He applauded the appointment of Hon. Ali Bello Atimpo, who happened to be the youngest Chief of Staff the state has ever produced, as a testimony that Kogi state under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will experience a tremendous breakthrough in terms of good governance and youth inclusion.

Responding, Hon. Ali Bello Atimpo expressed gratitude to the Local Government Secretaries for coming to felicitate with him and the entire Muslim community in the state.

He said despite the religious differences in the state, Kogi State has continued to enjoy religious tolerance in particular and peace and harmony in general under Governor Ododo.

”The people of the State must stand together in solidarity with one another because poverty, disease and hunger are blind to anyone’s ethnic or religious affiliations,” he said.

The Chief of Staff explained that the desire to maintain and protect the peace in all local governments within the state is a task that must be the responsibility of all the citizens, most especially at the grassroot.

He admonished the secretaries to be watchful and help their various local government caretaker chairman and the state government to fight crime at all time.

He commend the LG secretaries’ monthly thrift initiatives centered in empowering the people at the grassroot in form of direct cash transfer.

The meeting was attended by the Kogi State House of Assembly Majority Leader, Hon SAD, state Secretary of the Association and Secretary of Okehi Local Government, Prince Matthew James Omeiza, SLG Adavi, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Onipe ( MKO), SLG Okene, Hon. DAN Ameuru , SLG Ogori/Magongo, Godwin Foregan Alao and SLG Ajaokuta, Hon. Abdulmalik Muktar.
