Local government chairmen in Kogi Central Senatorial district have concluded plans to rehabilitate the Nigeria Television Authority station at Okene in Okene Local Government Area of the state.
The five local government chairmen from Okene, Ajaokuta, Ogori/ Magongo, Okehi, and Adavi expressed dismay over the deterioration of infrastructure and equipment at the station.
Addressing journalists at the weekend on behalf of the chairmen, Aloysius Okino said they were at the station to find out why it was not functioning.
He said because the project is beneficial to people of the area, they have resolved to assist in reviving it.
Earlier, the officer in charge of NTA Okene, Mrs. Fumi Adegbola, commended the chairmen for the visit, which according to her would boost activities at the station.
