As the November Kogi governorship election approaches, entrepreneurs in Kogi Central senatorial district have endorsed Governor Yahaya Bello for a second term in office.
Kogi Central Youth Entrepreneurial Expert, an umbrella body for youths engaged in various business in the senatorial district and other states of the federation endorsed the governor in Okene on Friday.
The group described Governor Bello as an exceptional leader who has distinguished himself with the delivery of monumental projects and human capital development across the state.
The President of the group, Alhaji Muhammed Jamiu Idris, popularly known as Always, said; “we express our firm support for the re-election of Governor Yahaya Bello come November governorship election because in the last three years, we have seen a lot of positive developments. For instance, there have been massive improvements in physical infrastructure, in security of lives and property, in provision of health centres and related facilities, empowerment scheme and agriculture, to mention but a few.”
Alh. Muhammed Jamiu urged leaders and members of the group, from all parts of Kogi central and state, to rally support for Gov. Bello’s second term bid.
The Secretary of the Association, Mallam Jibril Muhammed Nazifi lauded Gov Bello for being consistent in championing equity, balance and harmony among the three major tribes in the state.
He revealed plan to organize a “ten thousand march” to galvanize and sensitize voters on the need to use their PVCs to exercise their franchise during the November elections, to guarantee a landslide victory for the governor.
Mallam Nazifi said the entrepreneurs remain critical stakeholders in the economic growth of the state, stressing that, it is incumbent on the body to collaborate and work with the Governor on a vital issues bothering on state and economy that would further enhance the general well being of the people of the state.
