Kogi Assembly Commission Appoints NUJ Treasurer, Adebayo Aka, as Deputy Clerk

The Kogi Assembly Service Commission has appointed Mr. Adebayo Michael Aka as its new Deputy Clerk.

The announcement was contained in the appointment letter presented by the Speaker of House, Rt. Hon. Kolawole Matthew in Lokoja on Thursday.

According to the appointment letter, Mr. Aka, the State Treasurer of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), will served as Deputy Clerk in charge of Administration and General Duties.

Aka Adebayo has been in the journalism profession in the last 18 years. He was the Production Editor of The Graphic newspaper before he was transferred to the State Assembly when there was vacancy for the Director Information position.

The last Deputy Clerk Administration and General Services, Mr Martins Enimola, has since retired after serving the state for 35 years meritoriously.

While congratulating Aka, the Speaker wished him God’s grace and guidance to succeed.

Reacting, Aka thanked Gov. Yahaya Bello, the Speaker and members of the House for finding him worthy of the position.

He pledged to put in his best to justify the confidence reposed in him by working harder.
