Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has been commended for his resolve towards ensuring peace and genuine reconciliation for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the run-up to elections ahead.
The media organization of an aspirant to the Federal House of Representatives in the forthcoming by-election for Lokoja/Kogi (Kotonkarfe) Federal Constituency, Haruna Isah Campaign Organization (HICO), made the commendation in a Press statement made available to journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday.
The organization described the decision of Governor Bello to set up high powered committees to reconcile all warring parties within APC and winning new members into the party as a step in the right direction.
According to the body, there is strength in number, adding that with the sincerity that has been shown on the part of government, there was need for members of the party who may have reservation about how things are run in the APC to approach the committees to ventilate their positions.
The organization described members of the committee as people of impeccable character and experience that would move the APC to a greater height and urged them to ensure due diligence in carrying out their assignments.
It called on the committees to identify genuine party men and other critical stakeholders that would assist the party in its effort to clinch all positions it would contest in future elections in the state and in the country.
It enjoined all APC loyalists to be remain steadfast and committed to the course of the APC, describing the party as the only political platform that has the interest of the common man at heart.
