The reconciliation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) factions in Kogi state celebrated recently might have been cut short too soon as the Hadi Ametuo faction’s Secretary, Tom Adejoh, puts spanner in the works by deposing an affidavit for the continuation of the case in court in Abuja.

It will be recalled that the APC in Kogi State have had a two faction State executives; one led by Hadi Ametuo and the other faction selected and handpicked by Governor Yahaya Bello led by Abdullahi Bello (Dollar).

Hadi Ametuo had earlier prayed the court for a withdrawal of the case having had an out of court settlement and reconciliation with Governor Yahaya Bello. However, the State Secretary thinks otherwise as he maintained that other party executives are favourably disposed to the continuation of the case.

The move by Hadi Ametuo, the factional chairman of the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress to stall the progress of proceedings in the ongoing legal tussle to determine the authentic party executives in the state was a device to bail Governor Yahaya Bello out of the increasingly difficult bid for a second tenure but the new development means that Governor’s Bello’s attempt to buy everybody over to his side is not going according to plan.

The affidavit sworn to by the Hadi Ametuo Secretary would be attended to by a Justice of the Abuja High Court in the coming days.
