The former Managing Director of Daily Trust Newspaper and Akogun of Ife-Olukotun, Alhaji Isiaq Ajibola, has congratulated Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and the good people of the Kogi on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the state.
According to the statement released in Abuja today, Ajibola believes that “Kogi state has painfully undergone slow and unsteady development since its creation in1991 due to some political and economic factors that are exogenous to it as well as lack of consistent and pragmatic policy to address poverty and deprivation within the majority of the people of the state.
“However, the administration of Alh Yahaya Bello must be commended for being able to identify these issues and has consistently plan for the ‘big ideas’ that may take the state out of the woods.”
According to him, “the new sense of belonging that the administration has bestowed on all ethnic groups in the state through the EBIGO philosophy is a sharp departure from the past.”
