Kogi @ 25: Omala Administrator, Others To Bag Nigerian Post Newspaper Responsive and Leadership Award

As part of activities to mark the 25th Anniversary of the creation of Kogi State, the Administrator of Omala Local Government Area, Hon Ibrahim Yakubu Aboh, would lead the pack of award winning recipients for the prestigious Nigerian post Newspaper Responsive and Responsible leadership Award.

The Award is in recognition of the Administrators, proactive and timely response to mitigating the 2016 NIMET predicted flood.

Furthermore, the award seeks to reward the Administrator for his welfare policies, which has rekindled the hope of the workers for better days to come, and also his impact on the educational sector where he has donated free exercise books and teaching aids to schools, will be presented to the Administrator, by the state governor, Alh Yahaya Bello.

The award to the Administrators would be heralded with a public lecture, with the theme ” Kogi@25, Emerging challenges for states in a depressed economy: This House must not fall”, to be delivered by an erudite scholar, social crusader and right activist, Tope Joel, amidst the conference of other seasoned rapporteurs.

In a statement issued in Lokoja, Abu Michael, Editor In Chief of the Nigerian Post Newspaper, said other administrators to be honoured with the Nigerian post Newspaper Responsive and leadership award are those of Lokoja, Kogi, Ofu, Okene and Ogori Magongo LGA’s.

The anniversary the statement adds, seeks to recognize the invaluable contributions of some notable Kogites and persons who have contributed to the socio economic development of the state, among whom are Hon Buba Jubril, Mr Peter Anufure, CEO of PEELINKS, and Proprietor of Karienat Automobile Workshop, Ganaja Village, Alh Abdulfatai .A.

The Governors of Kwara and Benue States are also expected to grace the anniversary lecture and award, which comes up on Thursday, 25th August, 2016, at the conference hall of the Nigerian Union of Journalist, Lokoja, by 10am.
