KGCSDA Trains 40 Project Mgt Committees, Reiterates Ododo’s Commitment to Devt of Rural Communities

Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KG-CSDA) has disclosed that the administration of Gov. Usman Ododo is irrevocably committed to the development of rural communities.

The General Manager, KG-CSDA, Mallam Dauda Momoh made the disclosure while declaring open the last batch of training for Community Project Management Committees on Community Project Implementation and Financial Management Sustainability in Okene.

Mallam Dauda said the present administration attaches to rural communities, and will make rural dwellers its major focus through the provision of micro projects across the state.

The General Manager said towards ensuring that the agency delivers on the Governor’s mandate for developed communities, the KG-CSDA has been given all the necessary support to deliver on it promise for the Governor to commission 100 micro projects in his 100 days in office.

He reiterated the agency’s resolve on delivering quality projects and in ensuring standards, assured that with the cooperation of the CPMCs members, the agency cannot afford to fail.

“We are not leaving any stone unturned in delivering on our promise to deliver on a 100 projects for commissioning in 100 days in office.

“The administration of Gov. Ododo is people and community centered. The Governor’s focus is geared towards improving on the well-being of the lives of the rural dwellers.

“The governor during his campaign promised to improve on the lives of rural dwellers. Majority of our people are rural dwellers, with high voting population. His Excellency is concerned about their well-being.

“Let me place on record that the Governor has given us all the necessary support we need to deliver the 100 projects we promised for his commissioning, reason why as CPMCs members, we have decided to organize this training for you, reason why you cannot afford to fail,” he said.

The General Manager said the projects for commissioning would be flagged off in March, and expressed optimism that the 100 micro projects will be ready for commissioning in May 2024 by Governor Ododo.

He urged the CPMC members to be selfless in service to their communities, charged the CPMCs members to justify their election to represent their communities.

The General Manager, who assured the CPMCs that more projects awaits their communities if they are outstanding in their project execution, described the present administration as one resolved to create the enabling environment for citizens living in communities.

The training program for the CPMCs is under the Nigeria COVID-19 Action Recovery and Economic Stimulus (NG- CARES), bring to 40 CPMCs trained by the KGCSDA.
