It can thus be argued that Alh. Yahaya Bello is turning Kogi into a moving train that no one, including himself, can stop anymore. Should other Nigerian leaders put pettiness behind and pick the best hands for the job, development would come to many areas of the country; that he did by appointing Hon. Kehinde Oloruntoba as Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources in his cabinet.
As one of the few leaders whose eyes are on the verdict of history, Kehinde Oloruntoba has been busy here and there, making great strides and printing his name in gold. In the last few weeks alone, the Commissioner was in company of the wife of the Executive Governor of Kogi State and some other top government functionaries visited agricultural project sites in different parts of the States. In his bid to ensure Kogi’s immense agricultural potential is fully utilized he has tirelessly ensured that no stone is left unturned. His effort is beginning to yield result as Kogi no doubt will sooner than expected become the food hub of the nation.
Arguably, the continuous growth and development of Kogi State Ministry of Agriculture and agricultural sector under the able leadership of Hon. Kehinde Oloruntoba will definitely be part of the strongest campaign and reference points by the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the forth coming elections.
The Ministry of Agriculture will no doubt be “the face of good governance in kogi state.”
Currently, workers at the Agric Ministry which he superintends chorus on the new moral boost in the entire ministry
However, a slight detour from the vociferous innuendos and partisanship created by varied political interests will expose the very private other side of Hon. Oloruntoba, a man with so much love for humanity and buttresses the words of Warren Buffet; “If you’re in the luckiest 1% of humanity, you owe it to the rest of humanity to think about the other 99%” .
Such detour will also reveal the philanthropic nature, character and innermost essence of a true lover of his fellow man which would be naturally sacrosanct and devoid of subjective thoughts and feelings.
It is a pointer that Hon. Oloruntoba has a heart of gold and channels larger part of his hard earnings in support of different kind of worthy courses albeit discretely without screaming about it.
