“If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome”- Anne Bradstreet.
Solidarity greetings to the good people of Kabba/ Bunu constituency!  It is with the above quotation in mind that I am writing to the entire electorates in Kabba/ Bunu constituency of my determination and resoluteness to change the narrative of the suffocating poverty level in our constituency to prosperity. With the harsh economic realities and the dearth of social amenities plaguing our community, this resolve couldn’t have come at a better time.
I am a passionate revolutionist who believe that what cannot be cured medically can be cured politically, especially looking at poverty as a case in point. Considering the fact that Politics is about managing Money, Men and Materials; I joined the Unity Party of Nigeria (U.P.N) a party which puts people’s interest first in order to actualize the vision of a constituency where life is made viable for inhabitants and young people are engaged in productive activities. With a deliverable manifesto built on committed efforts of great leaders running with the determination to save the Nigerian Nation from her gory fate and put her back on the road to visible and sustainable recovery, I believe Kabba/Bunu constituency   as a microcosm of the macro society would be a model of a society that works if I am given a chance to represent this great region.
Having assessed the high rate of underdevelopment, especially in the area of education where there is a high rate of school dropout owing to poor funding of the education system, which has turned our citadel of learning into a hostile environment for both students and staff, it is contingent upon us to pay attention to quality education of our wards in the constituency. It is indeed sad that in today’s Kabba Bunu constituency, our school’s library is equipped with obsolete books. Our mandate is aimed at correcting the ills by making the standard of education in our constituency a source of envy to others.
It is also glaring that there is a dearth of infrastructure and amenities which could make life better. As we speak, most communities do not have access to drinkable water, in some cases the water available is odoriferous with a PH greater than 7.0. The high rate of youth unemployment is worrisome and disturbing.  Our hospitals are in a bad state with lack of drugs and qualified medical personnel. Also, workers and pensioners are not being paid their salaries and entitlements and the growing Insecurity of lives and property in the land requires our urgent and collective responsibility before things falls apart.
As a student of history, I know and have read about the prosperity of Kabba/Bunu constituency in times past. Once upon a time we had the Oscar steel Ltd, a nail producing company, the Rotex garden, the Fadile feeds, Olajugbu Motors, the SA Transport company, Leke Funiture, the Chief Okuta multi-purpose investments, the Willi Printing Press and many other companies that contributed to the growth and development of Kabba/Bunu, the entire Okun race as well as Nigeria and the world at large.
I have no doubt that the present quagmire that we found ourselves in, at this perilous point in time is due to the obvious leadership failure of both the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressive Congress(APC). Though we have forgiven every leader responsible for the pains they have subjected us to, however we must vote them out without further delay.
The 2019 election has yet presented us with an ample opportunity to put an end to this misery by voting for Comrade Sheyi Babaeko, the candid candidate for the Kogi State House of Assembly, Kabba Bunu constituency under the Unity Party of Nigeria. A vote for UPN in Kabba/Bunu is a vote for a change in the narrative of the alarming poverty rate in Kabba Bunu constituency to prosperity especially since the Ideals of our party are People oriented, issues driven, development focused, and programmatically packaged for the benefits of all the good people of Kabba/Bunu constituency.
Together we can make Kabba/ Bunu constituency great again and a vote for Babaeko is a round peg in a round hole. With a grounded Knowledge in Local Government Studies from the Obafemi Awolowo University, one of the best University in sub-Saharan Africa and a Masters degree in Conflict, Development and Security studies obtained from the School of Politics and International Studies from the prestigious University of Leeds U.K. (one of the world’s best University), voters   can be rest assured that Kabba/Bunu constituency is in a safe hand. With our Ideas of malice to none and love to all imbued with high level of political sagacity, economic ingenuity and social dexterity, our constituency is certainly poised to encounter a breath of fresh air where the needs of people count in government.
Now is the appointed time to reposition Kabba/ Bunu constituency for the overall national development of our nation. I will not only present bills that would have a positive impact on my people, I will lobby both the state and federal government as well as our friends locally and Internationally for developmental projects geared towards the betterment of lives in the constituency. Above All, I will not be a stooge to any Governor as my mandate is premised upon putting the people first. I’m inviting our people to be part of this historic moment and you can be rest assured that within my first one hundred days in office, I would have set the whole constituency on the road to recovery and redemption. Part of our campaign promise in the first hundred years include a mobile clinic attached with an ambulance service equipped with a functional oxygen and drugs to treat accident victims and medical emergencies. There shall also be free internet access for our tech-savvy youths as well as the upgrading of our schools’ libraries and laboratories amongst other meaningful projects. It is time to reposition our constituency for greatness and with the help of God, I am ready to shoulder the responsibility if given a chance by the good people of Kabba/Bunu constituency.
