Born less than 40 years ago, Olu Majek hails from Olle Bunu, in the present day Olle/Oke-Offin ward of Kabba/Bunu LGA, Kogi State. His mother, Mrs. Janet Omonoju Olusakun hails from Sado Kiri, in the Kiri district of Bunu Land; and his father, a trained nurse, Mr. Rowland Jaiyeola Olusakun, hails from Olle Bunu from the immediate family of the Olubunu of Bunu Kingdom, Oba J.A Ikusemoro.
Olu Majek started his elementary education from St. Paul Primary School, Olle Bunu and later attended St. Barnabas Secondary School, Kabba and then Kogi Polytechnic, Osara before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he gained a B.Sc. in International Studies and Diplomacy.
He is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM).
Olu Majek Started his career as a Personnel Management Officer with a prestigious consulting firm in Lagos about twelve years ago. Through the years, he has touched virtually all the sectors of the economy in different capacities: from hospitality to financial sector, to real estate, to advertising and the likes, where he has amassed such knowledge and experience capable of transforming any organization or government outlet.
Olu Majek is an expert in recruitment services, human resource and personnel management, performance appraisal system, organizational design, process and procedure management.
Olu Majek is currently the CEO and Managing Partner of Ultimate Interview International, a dynamic consultancy firm with a going concern on Training, Recruitment and Human Resource Management.
The man Majek ventured into politics as a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he held some elective positions in the then National Association of Kogi State Student (NAKOSS) ABU chapter. In 2014, as the race for Aso Rock heated up, Majek founded the Campaign Organization: CHRISTIANS’ SUPPORT FOR BUHARI-OSINBAJO, a move targeted at neutralizing PDP’s propaganda that Muhammadu Buhari was anti -Christians. He remains the national coordinator of the group.
Having supported many political candidates as they run for different offices, Majek has chosen to run for the office of the Chairman, Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area himself.
Olu Majek is a philanthropist and he sees giving as a hobby.
He is married and blessed with two beautiful children.
