A former councillor and Minority Leader, Kabba/Bunu Local Government under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Arokoyo David Femi (fada) has submitted his intent letter to contest 2019 House of Assembly election.
Hon. Arokoyo, who was warmly received by local government, ward exco and other stakeholders of the party, submitted the letter on Wednesday.
The part excos and elders commended him for his steadfastness and commitment to the party as one of the pioneer members of the party in Kabba/Bunu. They equally prayed for him to reap his labour for the party.
The party executives while receiving him debunked the widely spread rumors that the local government has given automatic endorsement to the serving member representing the constituency, assuring that the party will be fair to all intending aspirants.
Arokoyo, who was coordinator, Kogi Youth Arise Group in Kabba /Bunu and Buhari Campaign Organisation, assured that he will use his wealth of experience to positively develop the constituency.
He has offered himself for service as the next House of Assembly Member, representing Kabba/Bunu Constituency in the state House of Assembly.
His intent letter however read thus: “Having consider the need for a credible in the forthcoming electionh process and the need for positive changes in our constituency, I am most honoured to write and disclose to the estimable person (s) my humble political intention.
“I have always been very concerned about issues of human/structural development and growth, active representation and fair dealings of our people. I am quite certain of my remarkable efforts as can be testified by my active participation in many youth platforms and other social-religious and political platforms within and outside our state. Hence am quite informed of the depreciating feel of government presence at the grassroots.
“I am also certain that in the forthcoming State Assembly political dispensation, you and I would like to see a vibrant and responsive member, capable of making bills and motions with workable solutions to enhance the dividends of democracy within our constituency and state. It is based on these that I am willing and ready to seek for the elected office of Kogi State House of Assembly member.
“I have sound educational qualification and I have served in various capacities namely: First Bank Nigeria Plc, elected Honourable Councillor (Minority leader-APC) 2013-2016, Publisher, EagleĀ newsline, Publisher, Eminence Magazine, BMD David Global Prints, where my sense of Accountability, integrity and hard Work has been tested and proved outstanding. I have no doubt therefore that I will perform outstandingly too as a member of Kogi State House of Assembly.
“In other to represent the good people of Kabba/Bunu well, I must raise to win other opponents by conducting a successful Campaign, presenting meaningful and workable ideas and gaining the support of all. I can not do these all alone, that is why I am humbly soliciting for your full support both in prayers and in kind so that we can make the much needed differences, I promise that by the grace of God and your assistance, I will do my best to effect a positive change.”
