The coordinator of Kogi Women for Ocholi and state women leader of CPC, Julie Ojonugwa Adejoh, is determined to reach out to women at the grassroots, across the state.

Ahead of the governorship poll slated for December 3, 2011, women in Kogi State have started mobilising support for the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) governorship candidate, Chief James Ocholi.

According to her, the CPC flag bearer remained the most credible candidate because ‘’he is transparent, honest and down to earth,” adding that with him at the helm of affairs, Kogi would become a state to envy in the country.

Adejoh said that following the inaugural meeting of the association, women in the state were set to hit the ground running in order to mobilise massive support for Ocholi, just as she stressed that a victory for the CPC candidate would mean freedom from neglect, poverty and underdevelopment.

While noting that members of the association were drawn from the 21 local government areas of the state, the women leader called on the electorate, particularly women to take their destiny in their hands by voting for a candidate that would not dump them after being voted into office.

She further enjoined parents to closely monitor their wards by ensuring that they were not used to disrupt the governorship election which would present the people of the state the opportunity to speak with one voice and safeguard their future.
