Earlier this year, we brought Josiah Ikupólati and his efforts in the industry to the knowledge of Kogites. So much has happened between then and now behind the scenes, and we’re so much excited about this press release.
Josiah Ikupólati is our AfroJujuSoul recording artist, whose music conveys a Conscious message with social, political, economic, and spiritual themes. Listening to his music you’d hear the influence of Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, Majek Fashek, Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey, Yinka Davies, and Erykah Badu in his delivery.
Josiah Ikupólati is the president of GROWING MOUNTAIN, and he’s from Kogi state. He divides time between Lokoja, Abuja and Jos, and moves to Lagos this month.
Below are his opening press photos.
He’s just released a very lovely single titled TuunBéré. “Tuun béré” is Yoruba for “start over” a theme many of us can personalise, wherever we may be in our life’s journeys: it emphasizes on the power of never giving up, and never letting obstacles take away our zest in life. The single celebrates the launch of GROWING MOUNTAIN (a new chapter in his life, characterised by a new partnered association) and introduces Josiah’s creative art/style of expression to an expanding audience.
Josiah Ikupólati is on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram as @JosiahIkupolati; the hashtag for this release is #TuunBere.
