Jonathan’s Call to Buhari Conceding Defeat Can’t be Overlooked – Nihi

Pan-African Youth Union (PYU) Commissioner for youth political participation, Comrade Oladele Nihi has described former President Goodluck Jonathan as the hero of Nigeria democracy.

In a statement issued on the forthcoming interactive programme on sustainable democracy in Africa, Nihi said Jonathan’s commitment to allow the continuity of democracy in Nigeria by placing a call to his main challenger, President Muhammadu Buhari, conceding defeat in 2015 cannot be overlooked.

Nihi stated that the historical role played by Dr. Goodluck Jonathan changed the narrative of governance and will remain fresh in the memories of people.

He also praised President Buhari whom he said has been magnanimous in victory.

“Recount of the happenings in our democracy, post military regime, leading to the incoming of democracy in 1999, it is of importance to note that former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan GCFR has written his name in the sand of time for posterity’s sake.

“The office of the Pan-African Youth Union Commissioner for youth political participation in Africa seeks to entrench good governance and youth inclusion in the continent. At the ‘GEJtocracy’ event, African youth leaders and Nigerian youth and student leaders will have the golden opportunity of interacting with our hero of democracy, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan.

The event tagged ‘GEJtocracy’ is slated for 31st March at the International Conference Centre, Abuja. Dignitaries from all works of life within the continent of Africa are expected to grace the event.
