Joint Security Operations, Restrictions of Movement Will Continue in Sarkin Noma, Felele Communities

The leadership of Lokoja local government has resolved that restriction of movement and joint security operations will continue in Sarkin Noma and Felele communities.

Recall that students domiciled in these communities have endured repeated attacks leading to cocerted security efforts to tame the ugly scenario.

The decision to sustain the efforts was reached at a security meeting to evaluate the progress of the joint security operations commissioned by the Lokoja Local Government’s Transition Committee Chairman, Comrade Abdullahi Adamu to flush out criminal elements in Sarkin Noma, Felele, Crusher on Wednesday.

In his address, the Lokoja Local Government Caretaker Transition Committee Secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Egamana who chaired the meeting underscores the importance of the meeting in shaping the next line of action. He commended the resolute security personnel for the tireless effort and professionalism.

“The reports and feedback from the communities are all positive and encouraging. The Chairman has asked me to extend his appreciation to both the security agents and residents of the affected communities”.

The Dean of Students Affairs, Federal University Lokoja, Prof. Abdullahi Musa Yusuf who spoke on behalf of the University commends the Chairman for the bold step, noting that the students communities has reported remarkable improvement in security.

The meeting resolved that the security operations is in the best interest of everyone concerned hence the need for it to continue.

Hon. Egamana appealed to the residents to continue to cooperate with the security personnel and provide timely information using the distress numbers made available to them.

Other stakeholders present includes the DPO “B” Division, Felele, Representatives of various Communities, Vigilante and Hunters.
