The level of “mediocrity patronage” in Kogi state is climbing everyday without tiredness. Many Idle youths have become overnight “Social Media Activists” also doubling as: Media Strategists, Media Experts and the hundreds of nomenclature they coin to help them sell their mediocre opinions which are most times laced with very bad grammar, high sounding-unaligning verbs that one would have to think like a man trying to escape death to understand what they are trying to say.

More often than not, one would acquire headaches from trying to understand what they vomit. Some write abbreviated texts for the various brands they represented, sadly, it is the cache of news you find on the internet in Kogi state- badly written communication everywhere like pimples on the face of a teenager undergoing puberty.

In their own case, poverty of education is out on display without shame from them and those who sponsor them.

Sadly, these exports are mostly hirelings of many politicians who are aspiring for different offices, pretending as “alternatives”.

On Kogireports.com, it is an eye sore. I can imagine the mental effort the editors dispose to working on very bad grammar and funny headlines by people who are not trained to report or manage information but turned overnight Journalists and media experts.

Why should everyone become Politicians and Activists in The State?

It is also another ringworm sadness because the enabler of this mediocrity fans of the idea that everyone in Kogi State most be politicians. The youths are left with future ambitions that revolves around politics, hence, they reject other areas of human endeavor and become politicians or political hustlers. We are breeding a generation of one sidedness, just like we relied on an economic system that was powered only on the civil servants which everyone is now learning the bigger lesson from.

If everyone become politicians and activists in the state, where are the Doctors, Lawyers, Architects, Economists, Town Planners, Civil Engineers?

Many Politicians Hire Mediocres as Media Representatives.

It is also unfortunate that these politicians who hire these boys around without prerequisite skills to manage the complex portfolio they hand over to louts and unlettered political hustlers should also tell the people about their own ethics, and the type of “alternatives” they are projecting when they hire people with bad communication skills and unlettered demeanor to represent their brands.

Little wonder, in Nigeria, the best brains are always out of the alternatives for the jobs while the bottom-mental-dwellers are elected to represent a more intelligent society.

It is sad, anyone who seeks to criticize Government policies or aspires for any political office as the case may be, must first start from their media packaging; they must eliminate traces of mediocrity by not promoting it. They must demonstrate their plans or intentions through their media presence and modus of operation.

It is the new way of doing things, it is the New Direction way of doing things.
