Janga Takes Over as Kogi Police Commissioner

The new commissioner of police posted to Kogi state, Mr Ali Janga on Monday resumed office at the command’s headquarter in Lokoja.

CP Janga took over from Mr Wilson Inalegwu who was recently deployed to Plateau State.

The new police commissioner pledged to fight crimes in the state and called for support from the general public to enable him succeed on his duties.

He warned criminals not to think of perpetuating any act within the state stressing that the command would make life unbearable for them.

In his farewell speech, the outgoing CP Wilson Inalegwu while urging his predecessor to build on his achievements in the state, noted that crime and criminalities reduced greatly during his stay in the state.

He added that his command through the support of the Kogi state government, sister security agencies and vigilantes have been able able to reduce the high rate of kidnapping, armed robberies and other crimes prevalent in in the state when he assumed duties in March last year.
