A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and governorship hopeful for Kogi 2016, Chief James Ocholi (SAN) has commended the APC Igala Forum from the Kogi East Senatorial District  of Kogi State for their interest towards the enthronement of a viable democracy in the state.

Chief Ocholi made this commendation yesterday when the association, led by its chairman, Uthman Muhammed Odu, paid him a visit in his office in Abuja.

According to Ocholi, who is also the coordinator of the Buhari Campaign Organisation in Kogi State,  “I want to say I am highly impressed by the way you quickly organised yourselves with a banner and vest during the last public rally in Lokoja when you paid a visit to Gen Buhari, my principal. That proves to me that you are determined to achieve your goals as you were able to task yourselves financially to put together what you did”.

He said one thing he liked about the forum is the fact that it is not like others that jump from one aspirant to another seeking for how to grab funds as part of their own gains.

Chief Ocholi said he was aware that in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), there are many Igala sons playing various mobilization roles for the party but according to him, “I am not in the least aware that there are youths who could do the same in the APC”, he said.

Earlier in his remarks, the chairman of the forum, Uthman Muhammed Odu told the party chieftain that his association decided to visit Chief Ocholi because of his role in the progress of the APC in Kogi State. According to him, youths of Igala extraction are worried over the level of under-development and infrastructural decay in the land even though for over 15 years, the Igalas have always produced the chief executive of the state.
