Earlier in January 2012 when Governor Idris Wada inaugurated the Iyara township roads project, Iyara people and their friends were excited and applauded the governor. Prayers and praises were poured on the governor and government of Kogi State. Work immediately started on many roads in Iyara to the admiration of the people.
However, after two months of work, everything stopped. The township roads are now death traps and nothing is going on there at the moment. We pray for the quick recovery of Governor Wada from the recent accident so he would order the re-commencement and completion of Iyara township roads to reduce the people’s hardship.
