Isanlu Community Confers Chieftaincy Titles on Chief Dare Olatunde, Others

In recognition of personal contributions the community development and service to humanity, the Bagido community in Isanlu, Yagba East local government area of Kogi state will honour distinguished sons and daughters during this year’s Bagido day celebration.

The Bagido Day is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 26th November 2016 at Musa Oluyori Compund, Isanlu.

The Maiyegun of Isanluland, Chief Dare Olatunde; the Bashorun of Oke-Agi, Engineer Bamidele Obiniyi; Alhaji Kazeem Musa, Otunba Rasak Abdulahi, Alhaja Awawu Asiru and others.

According to the statement by Bagido Community Development Association (BCDA), Chief Dare Olatunde will be honoured with a chieftaincy title in recognition of his human development and developmental services to Bagido community, and Isanlu land in general. Olatunde is a businessman, astute politician and a community developer.

Another chieftaincy title recipient, Chief Bamildele Obiniyi, is an Abuja-based businessman who has the interest of the community at heart. He is the Bashorun of Okeagi in Mopamuro local government.

According to BCDA, this year’s Bagido Day will feature a N500million fund raising for the proposed ultra-modern Okurigirigi palace. Alhaji Bawa Abdulahi will chair the fund raising event while The Managing Director of COAN West Africa Ltd, Chief Chris Nwogu, will be the Chief launcher.
