Kogi state government has debunked speculations that Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is incapacitated after sustaining minor injuries last week.
In a press statement signed by Director General, Media and Publicity, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the state government confirmed that Governor had since been discharged by his doctors and is not fit to perform his normal duties.
The statement clarified that the governor only injured his foot while alighting from a vehicle on Friday, March 30. He assured Kogites and Nigerians in general that the governor is recovering well and will resume work today, Tuesday, April 3.
He thanked supporters and well-wishers for their show of love.
“We wish to refute speculations in some quarters that the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is either hospitalised or otherwise incapacitated. The Governor missed his footing last Friday March 30, 2018 while alighting from a vehicle and injured his left foot. He was treated by his doctors, who bandaged the leg and discharged him,” he said.
