INEC Declares Kogi East Senate Poll Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Kogi East senatorial election inconclusive.

Elections in Kogi East were characterised by violence and disruption of voting.

According to the returning officer, the senatorial election is inconclusive because elections did not hold in 129 polling units.

From the results announced so far, the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho is leading.

Kogi East result

APC – 113,772

PDP – 69,131

ADC – 30,696

A new date for rescheduled election in the affected 129 polling units will be announced by INEC.
