INEC Adhoc- Staff stage peaceful protest in Lokoja Over Unpaid Remuneration

The adhoc staff across the 21 local Government area of kogi state engaged by Independent Nation Electoral Commission, INEC, during the November 21, 2015 governorship election, yesterday staged a peaceful demonstration in Lokoja over unpaid remuneration.

In a press statement issued in Lokoja and jointly signed by Yusuf Bello and John Okpanachi, chairman and the secretary respectively, the group appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene.

Part of the statement read,  “each participant (Adhoc- staff) is expected to be paid the sum of Seventeen Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N17,500) each.

They expressed their dismay over non payment of their allowances by INEC.
