The campaign organisation of Musa Wada is sad to read and respond to a reckless and disrespectful statement from Edward Onoja, the running mate of the APC’s gubernatorial candidate in the November Kogi gubernatorial election.

First, we are setting the record straight by debunking his claim that some folks destroyed anyone’s vehicle in Ankpa on Saturday. The train left Anyigba for Ankpa and the good people of Ankpa refused to allow some miscreants join the convoy. This is the true account, as no official of the campaign team was aware of this destruction as claimed by a talkative running mate of the incumbent, who is threatening Engr. Musa Wada with an arrest.

We are calling on the elders of Igalaland to caution Mr. Onoja who is known for his disrespect in addressing notable personalities. His threat is an insult to the PDP as a party and the person of Dr. Musa Wada, and the party won’t handle this henceforth with kid gloves.

The PDP as a party of peace will never indulge in violence. The people have their destinies in their hands, and will definitely stop any form of nuisance by nipping it in the bud.

We have no record of any violence in any of our ‘thank you’ tours, and we will definitely keep up the goodwill.

We ask Kogites to continue the peaceful reception at every of our stopovers for campaign in the coming weeks. We encourage them to shun violence in the face of intimidation and vote out the tyrants who have occupied “Lugard House”.

Truly, I come in peace!

Signed:

Johnson Musa
PDP’s Communication Committee
