10th October of every year is a special day, the birth of an outstanding difference. This day indeed, marks the emergence of an icon into the Imam Shafiyi’s family rung. He is Rt. Hon. Umar Ahmed Imam.
Born on Saturday, 10th October 1970, Rt. Hon. Imam has, since childhood, displayed an uncommon leadership trait, little wonder then that he is where he is in the politics of Kogi State.
This great man is not a saint, but we see him as a quintessential icon, noble, and serene swayed not by the ostentatious way of contemporary Nigerian politics, and life in general.
Rt. Hon. Imam is a man devoted to giving back to the society because he knows what it feels to have nothing.
He has made a difference in the lives of Lokoja 1 constituents, Lokoja LGA and indeed, Kogi State indigenes through his demonstration of nobility and generosity towards all by given dignity and hope to democratic governance and representation in Kogi State.
As a Patriot, Rt. Hon. Imam has steadily lent a potent voice to the plight of the oppressed Like Abraham Lincoln who stood trials to prevent his state from crisis.
His philanthropy has touched the lives of many with several testimonials from within and outside his Constituency.
