Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Mrs Grace Elebiyo, has inaugurated an eleven-man task force on the operations of illegal educational institutions across the state.

She stated through the press release she made available to the press in Lokoja.

She said the task-force are inaugurated essentially because the country is confronted with substandard schools that lacks the basic infrastructural facilities and personnel hence the distortion of educational landscape.

She said these problems has reached an alarming stage and at the just concluded national council on education in Abuja the state has been charged with the marching order to tame this ugly tide.

She said the task-force, made up of men and women of proven integrity and professionalism, are to ensure development and positive transformation of the educational sector in the state.

She said she is saddling the task force officials the responsibility to sanitize our educational sector and redeem it from the hands of quacks.

She enjoins the task force officials to shun double dealing and urges them to be firm and upright in all they do so as to justify the confidence she wants to put on them.
