Ile Ya Omo Okun Kick Starts With Zeetia Santa Claus as Camp Opens for Next 2 Weeks

This year’s edition of ILE’YA OMO OKUN, an annual event in Okunland, Kogi State has kickstarted in Kabba, Kabbabunu Council yesterday, with ZEETIA CARES one of the most important segments of the event ever since inception. The 2024 edition is the sixth of its kind.

The ZEETIA CARES segment is borne out of the passion and love to give back to society, most importantly pupils in primary and secondary schools.

Yeye Omoleye Adebanji Aiyelabowo, the Yeye Oge Ti Ile Okun in a statement by Media and Publicity Team for Ileya Omo Okun 2024, issued on Saturday, said the aim is to aid the education of young children through provision of basic school needs.

According to the statement, “This time, ZEETIA CARE edition came with a different phase to complement the December festive season. The season came with SANTA CLAUS(Father Christmas), charitable moments that focus on children to support and enhance their creativity, and also for them to experience the joy of fantasy, tradition and Culture”.

It added that “the ZEETIA CARE SANTA CLAUS EDITION( Father Christmas), leaves a remarkable moment with the over 150 primary pupils and secondary students from 10 different schools within okunland that participated yesterday 13th of December 2024 at Kabba as it connects cultural traditions and family customs. It also fosters a sense of belonging and continuity, linking generations through shared experiences, dances, gifts and stories”.
