Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated Ileya Omo Okun Generational Foundation (IOOGF) on the hosting of the 7th edition of Ileya Omo Okun festival 2025.
In a telephone call to the initiator of IOOGF, Yeye Omoleye Aiyelabowo, the Governor applauded the Ileya Omo Okun Festival.
He said the event has brought soul lifting news of the good people of Okun land at this time of the year.
Governor Ododo also called for security consciousness and safety of all communities in Okun land.
The commencement of the the 7th edition of Ileya Omo Okun festival kick started on the 13th of December with the Zeetia Cares Santa Claus at Kabba.
In her response, Yeye Oge ti Ile Okun appreciated the Governor for taking out time to put a call through to the team. She said it was a morale booster and a confirmation of the Governor’s love for his people in Okunland.
She commended the governor for prioritizing security in Kogi State.
The grand finale of Ileya Omo Okun festival 2025 is slated for December 28th at Olonijola event centre Kabba, Kogi State, by 12noon.
