Igbo Community Leader Commends Governor Ododo’s Efforts on Security

The President General of Igbo community in Ebira land, Chief Joseph Anikwe has expressed serious worry over the rising threats to peace and security across the country, occasioned by the activities of terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements that have infiltrated our communities.

The Igbo leader expressed this worry during the week in Okene, while commending the proactive steps being taken by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to address the security challenges in the state.

Chief Joseph Anikwe, who commended Governor Ododo over the recent procurement of armoured personnel carriers for the use of security agencies in the state, expressed satisfaction that the state government is doing possible to protect lives and properties of the citizens.

He added that the efforts of former governor Yahaya Bello and the present administration in the state has provided the enabling environment for businesses to thrive across the state.

Chief Anikwe then called on the people of the state to complement the efforts of the state government by being vigilante and report suspicious moves/acts to appropriate quarters.

The Igbo leader, who also commended governor Ododo for his developmental efforts in other areas of governance, pledged the continued support of the community association.
