Igalamela-Odolu APC Holds Extraordinary Stakeholders Meeting

Stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igalamela-Odolu has called on supporters of the party to work in harmony to ensure victory at the governorship poll scheduled for November 16.

The call was made by the party leaders of the local government area at an extraordinary stakeholders meeting in Ajaka.

The meeting was attended by the leadership of the party in the local government, the member representing Igalamela-Odolu Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Ilemona Atabor, Administrator, Hon. Patrick Onogu, Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Hon. Haruna Yusuf, DG, Bello/Onoja Campaign Council, Hon. Musa Baba Adama and a host of other major stakeholders of the party in the area including all the ten Wards Chairmen of the local government.

Speaking, the Chairman of the party, Hon. Paul Abalaka, stated that the meeting was aimed at discussing issues concerning the forth coming gubernatorial elections in the state in order to ensure the victory of the party and its candidate.

Similarly, the D. G. Bello/Onoja Campaign Council, Hon. Musa Baba Adama commended the efforts of the party leadership and supporters which ensured successful Ward Rally and the flagoff of the Bello/Onoja Campaign held earlier at Idah.

The meeting, according to the Director General, was also aimed at attending to reports from each poling unit in the local government in order to tackle possible hitches and strategise “towards emphatic victory in the forth coming gubernatorial election”.

Administrator, Hon. Patrick Onogu called for harmony and synergy from all the stakeholders of the party across every polling unit in the local government. He called for harmony and synergy as the election day draws close.

The urged the people “not to fold our arms and allow the power we fought hard to win to fall back to the wrong hands”. He also pledged to support the party leadership to ensure victory.

To assuaged the fears of insecurity, Hon. (Barr.) Cosmas Atabor called on the supporters of the party to remain courageous and brave.

He, however, expressed his confidence in the security agencies that will be deployed for the polls to the ensure peace and security before and after the election.
