Indefinite Suspension Of Comr. Felix Ojoachele, The National Secretary Of IYC Till Further Notice.
The above subject matter refers: From the meeting of the National Advisers and BOT members held on Friday 8th/06/2018 at 22:00hrs, the following resolutions were made.
1). That the National
Secretary of IYC be suspended indefinitely for gross misconduct and abuse of privileges. We have watched with total dismay recently the vulgar use of abusive words on members of IYC by the National Secretary which is not healthy for IYC as an organization.
(2) That the National Secretary is too insultive and autocratic in decision and actions which is unhealthy for IYC as some members of IYC can attest.
(3). The National Secretary has gone beyond its bound and duty as enshrined by IYC Constitution as he combines the duty of the National President, National Publicity Secretary and PRO to his office without consulting the National Exco’s of IYC for decision and resolution before taking actions.
(4). The National Secretary holds and calls for meetings of IYC without due consultations with the National President and knowledge of National Exco’s. E.g is the IYC meeting at Anyigba on the 31st/03/2018 and others at Ofu, Ibaji and Ankpa.
(5). That the National Secretary had used IYC structures for personal aggrandizement. Using IYC Local Government Cordinators and members for political meetings and gathering without the knowledge of the National president and the executives members which is unhealthy for the organization at this stage.
(6). Members of IYC cut across party line e.g APC, PDP, APDA, APGA, SDP etc and as such should remain neutral devoid of any interest or party affiliations not to cause division or rancour among members.
(7). All members have freedom of association and participation, but dragging IYC or using it for personal gain is totally unacceptable and unethical and must be jettisoned by all, if we must succeed.
We therefore call on all members of IYC and lovers of Igala, that the dreams of our founding father’s and our hero past should not be thrown overboard because of our interest. We shall continue to defend and uphold the tenents and constitution of IYC for all members as leaders. Our collective resolve shall be to the best interest of the organization as United we stand, divided we fall. We shall continue to stand tall and united amidst challenges.
No individual person is greater or powerful than IYC. Henceforth, we shall not tolerate the use of harsh or vulgar words on any of our members because every one is important in IYC. All member must respect the constitution and relevant authority. We need to join hands together to build our future as youths.
Let us cooperate with the National Executives as we plan to hold our National Convention soon.
To this end, Comrade John Onalo is hereby directed to take over from the former secretary as acting secretary till further notice .
