House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Idris Hussein, on Saturday, commissioned two 300KVA transformers donated to Idah and Igalamela-Odolu local government areas of Kogi state.
Hussein, popularly known as Idrisima, commissioned the transformers after attending the final match of Igala Nations Cup football competition in Idah.
While addressing residents at the commissioning, Hussein noted that the transformers will impact on the lives of the people. He pledged to do more for residents in Idah Federal constituency.
“Today’s programme marks a milestone in the history of this Idah Federal Constituency. My joy stems from the fact that today’s commissioning of 300KVA transformers in Igalamela-Odolu and Idah LGAs is now a reality.
“It is my vision and hope that those good old days where power supply is not erratic will soon be back with us and, indeed, in a more prosperous way with the provision of these transformers which today’s occasion symbolises.
“Commissioning of this project is in keeping with my vision of bringing about the desired change to make life easier for the generality of our people through the development and provision of the necessary social and physical infrastructure,” he added.
He called on residents to remain steadfast and support the struggle in ensuring a better Idah Federal Constituency.
