Idris HK Donates Transformer to Ofakaga Community

A prominent Kogi State philanthropist and political figure, Idris Hussein Kashim, popularly known as Idris HK, on Friday handed over a brand new 300KVA transformer to the people of Ofakaga community in Ofu Local Government Area of the State.

Idris HK personally visited the community and formally commission the transformer, bringing an end to years of darkness and erratic power supply.

The colourful handing-over ceremony was attended by dignitaries, religious leaders, traditional rulers, youth leaders, women groups, and a large crowd of excited residents.

Community elders expressed overwhelming joy, thanking the Idris HK Foundation for the timely intervention. They noted that the community had been in total darkness for many years, describing the transformer as a life-changing gift.

Religious and traditional leaders led prayers for Idris HK, wishing him continued success and divine protection as he continues his philanthropic and political journey.

Addressing the gathering earlier, Idris reiterated his commitment to the development of Kogi East and the advancement of humanity. He noted that it is not in his nature to amass wealth or live in luxury while his people lack basic amenities.

“My priority has always been humanity, not power or luxury. I cannot be comfortable when my people are suffering or lacking the basic things of life,” Idris said.

According to Idris, he will continue to do his best to uplift Kogi East and contribute his quota to the development of Kogi State. He added that leadership should be about service, impact, and improving the lives of the people.

The donation has further endeared Idris HK to the people of Ofu LGA and Kogi East in general.
