A socio-political group, National Coalition of Kogi Youth For Change (NCKYC) has described the Kogi State Commissioner for Finance, Alhaji Idris Asiwaju Asiru, as a humble, focused and quintessential leader.
Speaking with Kogireports at the civic reception in honour of Asiwaju in Isanlu on Sunday, the President of the group, Barrister Dare Michael, called on the good people Kogi West senatorial district to see Asiwaju as the current rallying point for the district’s political emancipation and infrastructural development.
Michael commended Asiwaju for his his efforts so far in Kogi West. He pointed at his interventions in towns and communities that have been cut off from electricity supply for years in the zone. He applauded his passionate efforts that culminated into the award of age-long abandoned roads in Kogi West and his sincere commitments to ensure the state harness the potentials of Omi Dam.
“In just few months in office, Asiwaju has left no one in doubt that he is committed to a developed and prosperous Kogi West. He is a gift from God to the state in general, and Kogi West in particular”, he said.
“On behalf of the National Coalition of Kogi Youth For Change, I want to express my profound gratitude to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, for giving us a leader like Idris Asiwaju Asiru, a prudent, intelligent and accessible enigma who is a source of pride to us. As youths, we assure his excellency that Asiwaju will not disappoint him and the state.
“Asiwaju is dependable bridge across the old and the younger generation. He is a unifying factor”.
Michael, who is a youth leader in Kabba/Bunu Local Government area of the state, called on Okun, Lokoja and Koto people to support the young and sincere leader in his genuine effort to attract development and investors to the zone.
