Continuity in legislative representation is the bedrock of sustainable development. Be it at the grassroots, or within constituted authorities, when a lawmaker like the member of a State House of Assembly is elected for a second term; it is an avenue for vital community projects, policy and legal frameworks not to be abandoned halfway due to political transitions.
The fact that a ranking lawmaker possesses the seasoned legislative experience, committee influence and institutional network required to effectively advocate for their constituency is enough reason to reelect such a representative, when key performance indicators rates such Legislator high: his or her reelection becomes more of a civil duty than mere exercise of franchise.

Among other things, securing a second term for the member representing Idah State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon Adejo Usman Halidu is a strategic necessity to solidify his legislative agenda, consolidate on his short-term interventions into enduring structural realities and immortalise his current legacy projects.
Aware that in every ideal society, re-election lies in a lawmaker’s legislative performance, proven commitment to essential human development, particularly in critical sectors such as potable water, education, healthcare and agricultural input. As unfortunate as it sounds; access to clean water, affordable health care, three squares meal and even facilities as little as stationaries all remains a prevalent need across many communities in Nigeria today and a dedicated representative who has the interest of his people at heart will focus on these little things that matters a whole lot.
Suffice to say that the State Lawmaker having funded some of these needs through but not limited to the provision of motorised boreholes, periodic distribution of cash grants, construction of a printer health care, payment of school fees, provision of writing matters etc deserves a continuity to enable him expand these services as a second term will ensure the sustainability of most of these initiatives.
Beyond Legislative frameworks and structural projects, the true measure of a Leader entrusted with Legislative representation is empathy toward the less privileged and this having been demystified by Hon Halidu Usman Adejo as evidenced in his stewardship highlighted here above, another term for him by the good people of Idah State Constituency will not mean a political reward, but a necessity for collective progress.
